Palia

  • Senior Gameplay Programmer
  • Created by Singularity Six
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 5
  • Launched in 2023
  • Worked on the Lore team to create intuitive and scalable dialogue, quest, scheduling, minigame, and UI systems
  • Profiled and optimized code to run on lower end hardware like Nintendo Switch

Zombies Noir: Mixed Reality

  • Lead Programmer, Lead Director
  • Developed in Unity
  • Launched in 2022
  • Created code base and managed a team of programmers, reviewing their code
  • Worked with Meta to launch the first full mixed reality title on the Quest store

Rogue Company

  • Gameplay Programmer
  • Created by Hi-Rez Studios
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 4
  • Launched in 2020
  • Third person competitive shooter; game-as-a-service
  • Worked with designers to create new characters, weapons, tools, and abilities (some examples include Switchblade character and footstep tracker perk)

Abyss of Neptune

  • Lead Programmer, Game Designer
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 4
  • Launched in 2021
  • Underwater survival horror game where the player must navigate an environment while being chased by a persistent monster
  • Created reusable plugin for UI, settings, and saved data for future projects
  • Created design documents for item and progression systems as well as level design for the first half of the game

Magical Strings

  • Lead Programmer, Network Engineer, Combat Designer
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 4
  • Launched in 2021
  • Competitive fighting game where players send magical projectile attacks at their opponent based on an input of musical notes
  • Created an online versus mode for 1v1 combat

The Book of Regrets

  • Lead Programmer, Producer, Game Designer, Writer, UI Designer, Port Manager
  • Developed in Unity
  • Launched in 2016 for mobile, 2017 for PS4, 2018 for Steam
  • Horror-themed interactive text-based adventure with minigames where the player must avoid enemies
  • Available on Android, iOS, Steam, and PS4 (Android version currently unavailable)

Unreleased Projects

These unreleased projects are things that I think are worth showing even though they have been scrapped or held off on public release. I believe they showcase the variety of projects that I have worked on outside of my professional career.

Champions of Elysium

  • Lead Programmer, Producer, Game Designer, Writer
  • Developed in Unity
  • Created between 2017 and 2020
  • 3D role-playing game with a “one-button, one-direction” combat system, roguelite resource management in dungeons, and randomized loot drops
  • Led a team of developers around the world
  • Winner of Lassonde Studio’s Get Seeded grant funding

Champions Coliseum: Battle Card Game

  • Game Designer, UI Designer
  • Created between 2018 and 2020
  • A competitive card game created using the artwork and themes from Champions of Elysium
  • Players select a team of characters and take turns attacking each other, using items and the environment to their advantage.

The Boo Crew

  • Lead Programmer, Game Designer
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 4
  • Created in 2019
  • A 4-player competitive game where each player must find 3 keys and return them to their door before other players
  • Players can use items to help themselves and hinder other players

Hover Ops

  • Lead Programmer, Co-producer
  • Developed in Unity for mobile
  • Created in 2019
  • Time trial race game where the player must jump, slide, and boost their way through a level filled with optical illusions using either touch or gyro controls

Recycling Education (VR)

  • Lead Programmer
  • Developed in Unity with VR
  • Created in 2019
  • A serious game with the goal of teaching children about recycling by throwing items into bins based on their selected state and county

Flipper

  • Programmer
  • Developed in Phaser
  • Created in 2019
  • Lane-management game inspired by Tapper but with different customers, a life system, and busboys who can help clear lanes

Cryopunk

  • Systems Programmer, Producer
  • Developed in Unity
  • Created in 2015 (My first project in game development!)
  • Turn-based role-playing game where the player must navigate through multiple environments and defeat the boss
